FLU old
FLU old

You’ve been doing your best to stay healthy for months. Wearing a mask, social distancing at least six feet and washing your hands to fight the novel coronavirus. Good for you! Thank you! Keep it up!

FLU SEASON HAS BEGUN AND COVID-19 IS STILL HERE!

PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY

The steps you take to fight COVID-19 are some of the same ones to take to avoid the flu. However, COVID-19 will be that much harder to fight off if you get the flu.

The flu (Influenza) is a contagious disease that can be serious, with hundreds of thousands hospitalized every year and thousands more dying from it. Watch for some or all of these symptoms:

  • fever* or feeling feverish/chills
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • runny or stuffy nose
  • muscle or body aches
  • headaches
  • fatigue (tiredness)
  • some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

*It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.

ROLL UP YOUR SLEEVE

The first and most important protection against the flu is to get a flu vaccine. Everyone six months and older should get an annual flu shot. So talk to your doctor about getting a flu shot. Protect yourself! Protect your family!
