Living Well Summit July 15-18 Chance to Re-Center and Heal
When was the last time you truly focused on your health and well-being? More than likely, it’s been a while. The pandemic has affected many of us mentally, emotionally and physically, and disproportionately Black Americans and other people of color. PrepareSTL’s Living Well Summit will be a place to re-center and begin to heal and it’s free! From Thursday, July 15-Sunday, July 18, 2021, there will be numerous sessions, both in person and online, on topics such as joy and pleasure, grief and loss and of course health and wellness. A complete schedule of session offerings can be found at www.PrepareSTL.com, which is where people also need to register.
The Living Well Summit will kick off Thursday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. with an online open session and healing space for participants to experience the power of community healing, followed by an in person Celebration of Joy Drum Circle & Dance Party at Turner Park, 4101 West Belle Place in St. Louis on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17 will offer a full day of wellness sessions. The morning will be in person sessions on topics, such as Healing in Movement and Radical Forgiveness, at Dellwood Park, 10147 West Florissant Road, Dellwood, MO 63136. The afternoon will be a series of online sessions such as Self-Love, How to Cope with Grief and Dreaming a New. Sunday will be a replay of Saturday’s online sessions.
The Summit is sponsored by the Institute for Healing Justice & Equity at Saint Louis University and Faith and For the Sake of All.
